The Detroit Police Department is seeking information about a person of interest linked to a fatal shooting on the city’s west side.

An Eastpointe man is accused of murdering a Detroit man at a weekend barbecue and then kidnapping a 2-year-old girl before a standoff with Detroit police, according to authorities.

A long standoff with a barricaded gunman came to an end Monday afternoon on Detroit’s west side, police said.

A man was shot and killed early Sunday morning after getting into an argument with another man during a block party in Detroit.

Police said their investigation shows the mother drove to the child’s father’s home on Pierson Street. The father took the little boy to the hospital. It’s still unclear where the stabbing happened.

DETROIT Police are asking for help locating a missing 25-year-old man. Parrish Reed was last seen by his mother on Saturday at 4 p.m. at their home in the 20500 block of Pierson Street. Reed is described as being 6 feet tall and weighs 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and black basketball pants. The father went to the back of the house and broke windows with his bare hands. “The fire was basically confined to the living room and then to the little dining room off the side. Of course there is heavy smoke damage throughout the entire house,” Fornell said.

Authorities are investigating a house fire on Pearson Street in the area of Joy Road and Evergreen. Sources told Local 4 four people have been taken to the hospital.
