Authorities say two people have been rescued more than six hours after their single-engine plane crashed and got stuck in some live power lines in Maryland.

Pittsfield Township Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the Ann Arbor Airport on Sunday afternoon, responding to a report of an airplane possibly crashing on the airport property.

DETROIT – The National Transportation Safety Board released Sunday details of its investigation into a fatal 2018 plane crash. The initial investigation believed the plane may have been out of fuel and had a landing gear issue. The report released Sunday said the investigation into the aircraft revealed the fuel pump was intact and only showed damage from the crash. Young Municipal Airport, said the plane’s landing gear was not functioning properly and began circling the airport. The right main and nose landing gear were found fully extended by investigators.

GROSSE ILE, Mich. – Police have provided new details following the death of a man after a plane crashed on Grosse Ile Saturday. Officials say at around 4:47 p.m. an airplane crashed in a residential neighborhood in the 27000 block of Loma Circle. Police say the pilot, 57-year-old Jeffrey Dean Oliver of Lincoln Park, was ejected from the plane.
