A 31-year-old man from Mississippi was rushed to University of Michigan Hospital after being shot in the head Friday morning.

DETROIT – Police are investigating whether a man who died after being dropped off at a hospital is connected to a barricaded gunman situation that occurred early Friday morning. Detroit police say at about 12:40 a.m. officers responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the area of Schoenherr and Pfent streets. Upon arriving, officers discovered several shell casings in front of the home and on the front porch of the home in question. Officials say that during their investigation, police received another call about a 22-year-old man who was dropped off at a hospital and died soon after. Police are investigating whether or not the barricaded situation is connected to the 22-year-old man who was dropped off at the hospital around the same time.

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – An investigation is underway in Hamtramck after someone was stabbed near Dequindre Street and Carpenter Avenue. It’s not known what led to the stabbing. The victim’s condition also is not known at this time.

HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – Police are investigating after two men were found dead Sunday inside a home in Highland Park. The men had run a chord up to the second floor, where the men were found, according to authorities. Police said the girlfriend of one of the men inside the home arrived Saturday and couldn’t get an answer at the door. The girlfriend wanted police to force their way into the house to check on the men, officials said. One day later, police did a wellness check and found the men dead inside the home, officials said.
