On Saturday, June 25, the City of Ann Arbor Natural Area Preservation will help local pollinators by clearing weeds and invasive plants at two parks.

WCC has undertaken several initiatives to keep the pollinator population strong on its campus.

This week the city of Royal Oak decided to jump on board a movement called No Mow May. People are encouraged not to mow their lawns all May to help bees and other pollinators better transition into spring and summer.

“No Mow May” encourages residents to not cut their grass until May 31 in order to promote local populations of pollinators and other environmentally helpful creatures.

From Begonias to Creeping Jenny plants that cascade down the sides of your flower pot, there are groups of flowers that thrive in small spaces.
