A Pontiac man has been charged with trying to kill a man who says he was breaking up a fight outside a bar, police said.

Two people were shot overnight in the parking lot of Altadona’s Restaurant in Pontiac, police said.

A suspected drunken driver ignored a stop sign at a Pontiac intersection over the weekend and struck a motorcycle, seriously injuring the motorcyclist, police said.

A 28-year-old man drowned in a Pontiac lake while trying to retrieve his kayak, which had floated away from the dock, police said.

Police have identified the Pontiac woman who is accused of stabbing her sleeping grandfather in the middle of the night after he let her stay on his couch because she had nowhere to live, authorities said.

PONTIAC, Mich. – Three girls were shot in Pontiac in a drive-by shooting Saturday night, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. Police said the grandparents were watching their grandchildren as well as their two children when they heard gun shots and glass breaking. Authorities said deputies transported two of the children to a local hospital and a third was transported by ambulance. The grandparents and the father of the 10-month-old said they have no idea who shot at the home or why. PONTIAC, Mich. A drunk 17-year-old girl who had vomit on her shirt and fell onto the ground during a traffic stop got in the drivers seat of an SUV and fled Pontiac police before crashing into a pole, according to authorities. A 17-year-old Pontiac girl in the passengers seat had vomit on her shirt and appeared to be intoxicated, according to officials. While he was speaking to an Oakland County deputy, the girl fell out of the SUV and onto the ground, officials said. She got back inside the SUV, slid over to the drivers seat and sped away from the scene, according to authorities. The girl was taken into custody and brought to McLaren Oakland Hospital for a blood draw, police said.
