The Quick Lane Bowl is no more. The college football bowl game at Ford Field in Detroit has a new title sponsor.
The Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Bowling Green Falcons took part in a friendly competition Saturday at Gleaners Community Food Bank.
Kaleb Eleby threw two touchdowns and ran for another and Western Michigan recorded its second bowl victory in program history, rolling past Nevada 52-24 in the Quick Lane Bowl.
Michigan universities will have the opportunity to showcase their talents nationally as five colleges have qualified bowl games.
