With summer coming up, we are rolling into road trip season, and one way to hit the road in both comfort and style is in an RV. But what should you look for when shopping for a camper? We spoke to Matt Kosmowski, one of the experts at General RV, to get his advice.

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – An RV used as part of a drive-thru COVID-19 testing site has been stolen in Rochester Hills. The RV was set up outside of the Rochester Medical Group building in a well lit parking lot on South Boulevard between John R and Rochester roads. The drive-thru site tested about 150 people a day, and the RV cost more than $14,000. Thieves took off with 500 COVID-19 testing swabs, boxes of PPE and propane tanks and heaters that staff members used to stay warm. “To have that stolen with all our PPE in it, it was gut wrenching,” Margolis said.

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – Rental and sales teams for RVs and campers say they’ve never been busier than this year. We visited General RV in Mount Clemens to learn why and how they’re dealing with the boost in demand. Interest in campers and RVs has jumped about 300 percent this year due to the pandemic. “My advice is call early,” said John Demick, of General RV. “If you want to do it next year, you want to do it in July, call me in January.”

Its summer vacation season and more people than ever are considering a road trip in a recreational vehicle, better known as an RV. It can be a great way to take a vacation with fewer health concerns. Jeremy Miller, Sales Manager of General RV Center joined host Tati Amare this morning to answer frequently asked questions about RVs. Miller showed an RV that was the size of a regular house.
