The symptoms include: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. If your pet has consumed the recalled product you should contact your veterinarian. Customers who purchased a recalled product can call Real Pet Food between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. EST for a refund.

The not-ready-to-eat, frozen chicken fried rice items were produced from July 9, 2019 to July 11, 2019 with various packaging and best by dates. These items were shipped to retail locations in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey and Texas. Consumers with food safety questions can call the toll-free USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 1-888-MPHotline (1-888-674-6854). Consumers can also browse food safety messages at Ask USDA or send a question via email to MPHotline@usda.gov.

The salmon was sold between Mar. 9 and Sept. 17 in vacuum-sealed packaging. Although no illnesses have been reported, it is important to check your freezers. The bacteria is dangerous and health officials are cautioning people not to eat the salmon even if it doesn’t look or smell spoiled.
