Two people are hospitalized after a shooting and a crash in Detroit.

The in-home caregiver of a Detroit resident is accused of killing the older man by stabbing him multiple times and shooting him with a shotgun, police said.

DETROIT – A Detroit woman’s home was destroyed in a fire. My house was on fire,” Yolanda Bell said. I just saw my house in ablaze.”For hours, Bell stood as close to her house as she could. Bell’s 19-year-old son was visiting from Florida. Nearly 40 years ago, Bell’s sister died in a house fire in Detroit.

DETROIT – Four people are in custody after shots were fired at a police vehicle. At about 9 p.m. Thursday, an undercover police vehicle with an auto theft task force was checking on a white Dodge Charger with improper plates as well as a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Occupants in both vehicles started shooting at the police car. Police tracked the vehicles at another location, leading to a barricaded gunman situation at a third location -- a home on Robson Street. You can watch the full story in the video above.

DETROIT - Detroit police are investigating a triple shooting that left one man dead on the city's west side. The shooting happened just after 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the 18000 block of Robson Street, which is in the area of 7 Mile Road and the Lodge Freeway. According to police, a 27-year-old man was shot multiple times and died at the scene. A 26-year-old woman is in extreme critical condition after being shot in the head and face and a 28-year-old man is in serious condition after he was shot in the mouth. Police said a preliminary investigation suggests that the 28-year-old opened the door to someone knocking, and they started shooting.
