What is more concerning for them is when their dog became sick after ingesting rat poison. It’s a problem Sean and Gail Henning said they have been dealing with for some time now. They said a neighbor started putting out rat poison by their homes to get rid of the rodents. I went to go see what it was and it looked to me like it was rat poison pellet,” said Sean Henning.

Jurisdictions have closed or limited service at restaurants and other commercial establishments to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Community-wide closures have led to a decrease in food available to rodents, especially in dense commercial areas. Some jurisdictions have reported an increase in rodent activity as rodents search for new sources of food. Environmental health and rodent control programs may see an increase in service requests related to rodents and reports of unusual or aggressive rodent behavior, the CDC said.
