The suspect fled northbound on Middlebelt Road from Northline before heading east on I-94. The Romulus officers pursuing the suspect were joined by Michigan State Police officers. The suspect vehicle eventually entered Hamtramck, where a suspect left the vehicle near the 13000 block of St. Louis.

Police responded at about 5:50 p.m. to the crash involving a gold Chevy Equinox and a white Chevy Impala. The nine people are being treated at a hospital. The crash is under investigation. Anyone with information or witnessed the crash is asked to contact Romulus Police Department accident investigators at 734-955-8815.

Two people have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Brian Eugene Davis, 40, of Romulus. Davis was shot and killed on May 19 at 8:35 p.m. in Romulus. Police officers were called to a gas station in the 27400 block of Eureka Road near Inkster Road. When officers arrived they saw the Romulus Fire Department rescue and Taylor rescue teams on scene. Officials said Davis approached the defendants vehicle and McMillon, who was a passenger, pulled out a weapon and shot Davis.
