Dequindre Road is closed from Avon to School roads in Rochester Hills due to a large sinkhole, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s office.

Amtrak’s “Connect US” map includes a newly proposed service route from Detroit to Toronto, and from Detroit to Toledo. It also includes enhanced services (more trains) from Detroit to Chicago, Grand Rapids to Chicago and Port Huron to Chicago. It claims traveling on Amtrak rail is up to 83% more energy efficient than driving and up to 73% more energy efficient than flying. A courtroom inside the 17th District Court in Redford transformed into a unique graduation ceremony for honorees such as David Route. Route decided to go through the rigorous veteran's court program to get his life back on track. Khalil started the program in 2011 to help veterans reacclimate to society. The program helps get veterans connected to the Department of Veterans Affairs, gives them resources and offers one-on-one mentoring. "It's not an easy program," Khalil said.
