Two people were taken to the hospital Tuesday after a shooting on Detroit’s east side.

A 47-year-old motorcyclist was killed last week when the driver of an SUV struck him and fled the scene, according to Detroit police.

Police said a suspect was shot after opening fire on officers in Detroit.

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating two sisters, 16-year-old Andrea Austin and 9-year-old Cee Cee Austin.

DETROIT Police are seeking assistance to locate a 15-year-old girl who went missing on Wednesday in Detroit. Laniya Banford was last seen at about 7:30 p.m. at her residence in the 20200 block of Rowe Street. She was last seen wearing a pink, black and white jersey with a number on the front, blue stonewashed jeans and white and pink Jordan shoes. DETROIT – A Comcast worker was shot while standing on the porch of a home Friday in Detroit, police said. Police initially said the man was in his truck, but later said that wasn’t the case. According to police, the 58-year-old man was at the home in the 20000 block of Rowe Street on the east side at about 4:45 p.m. when a man in a black newer model Dodge Durango drove by and shot at him. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he is listed in temporary serious condition.
