Ossof was pitted against Republican David Perdue, a 71-year-old former business executive whose congressional term expired Sunday. Though Georgia’s Senate results favor Democrats, Biden says that he will work with representatives on both sides of the aisle in an effort to unite the nation and take action to move the country forward as president. I have long said that the bipartisan COVID-19 relief bill passed in December was just a down payment. We need urgent action on what comes next, because the COVID-19 crisis hits red states and blue states alike. My nominees for critical national security positions at State, Defense, Treasury, and Homeland Security have bipartisan support and have been confirmed by the Senate before.

READ: Stakes high for U.S. Senate runoffs in GeorgiaThe song -- titled “Georgia’s Changing” -- only featuring two artists instead of the entire choir. Both artists featured in the song have grandparents from Georgia who were also active in the civil rights movement. The song ends with a message telling watchers to vote blue and vote for the democrats in the race. The video was posted to the Detroit Youth Choir’s Twitter account with a quote from Lewis.
