Mary Alice Ellicott was at the Polar Bear Bar, on U.S. 12 between Clinton and Saline, on Oct. 11, 1981. Her body was found 13 days later in a grassy field, less than 2 miles away, a victim of a homicide. “Whenever you're working on a cold case you have to open up the box and go over everything.”No tip is too small. Tom Mann, the director of occupational health at the University of Michigan Hospital, described what needs to be done to get the vaccine to these workers. DETROIT – Ruby Tuesday has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy leaving many of its Michigan based restaurants closed including ones in Clarkston, Sterling Heights, Taylor, Saline, Mount Pleasant, Midland and Gaylord. Despite the bankruptcy Ruby Tuesday still has Michigan restaurants open in Big Rapids, South Canton and Cadillac. We remain committed to providing our guests with safe, quality experiences at all our current locations,” said Jenifer Boyd Harmon, chief marketing officer for Ruby Tuesday. According to reports a total of 185 Ruby Tuesday restaurants will be closed across the country due to the bankruptcy filing and restructuring efforts by the company. The company reportedly started closing locations before the bankruptcy filing.

SALINE, Mich. – Police in Pittsfield Township are looking for a man accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl inside a Walmart store. Police said officers were flagged down by employees of the store to report that the girl had been assaulted by an unknown suspect. He’s accused of approaching the 17-year-old Monroe girl inside the store, grabbing her and sexually assaulting her. The suspect fled the store and the girl sought help from employees, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pittsfield Township Police Department.

Police said the motorcycle left the roadway at the roundabout for unknown reasons. The driver was the only person riding the motorcycle, officials said. Paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced one person dead, according to authorities.

SALINE, Mich. - A Saline church hopes the city will forgive a very hefty water bill. The First Assembly of God received a water and sewer bill for about $17,000 after about 16,000 gallons of water were apparently used. The Department of Public Works investigated and found an isolated leak under the building. The water didn't go into the sewer system, so the city didn't need to pay for the water to be treated. The pastor is asking the City Council to waive the sewer portion of the bill, which was about $10,000.
