Does this trick really create crispy skin on salmon?

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources said it is seeing good indicators that a modest stocking increase of Chinook salmon populations is needed in Lake Michigan.

Grand Haven, St. Joe, and Ludington in western Michigan are top places to get in on the action. The Pere Marquette stretches 66 miles and is from Baldwin to Ludington on Lake Michigan. Lake Erie is 50 miles of the best walleye lake in the world, and one of the top smallmouth waters in the country. In northeast Michigan, Hubbard Lake has smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike, lake trout, whitefish, yellow perch, suckers and gar. Located in northwest Michigan, Burt Lake is 26 square miles of water that is filled will walleye, smallmouth bass, pike and trout.

Dress salad. Coat salmon with olive oil, salt, pepper and paprika. Place salmon on the nonstick pan skin side down (no oil needed on pan). Cook for 5 mins on that side or until you see that side of the salmon getting light pink. Flip salmon.

DETROIT – Sullivan Harbor Farm has issued a recall for cold smoked salmon due to potential bacteria contamination. The salmon was sold between Mar. 9 and Sept. 17 in vacuum-sealed packaging. Although no illnesses have been reported, it is important to check your freezers. The bacteria is dangerous and health officials are cautioning people not to eat the salmon even if it doesn’t look or smell spoiled.
