A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Southeast Michigan on Wednesday.

The Winter Weather Advisory for the heart of Metro Detroit has lifted this afternoon given that precipitation has changed to predominately rain south of M-59.

Livingston, Lapeer and eight other counties in Lower Michigan will be under a winter storm watch starting Friday morning.

A freeze warning has been issued for the majority of lower southeastern Michigan except for Sanilac and St. Clair counties from 2 a.m. until 8 a.m. Thursday morning.

A Freeze Warning is going into effect from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Wednesday for most of Southeast Lower Michigan. The only exception will be St. Clair and Sanilac counties, where widespread frost is not expected.

Another Friday storm played out pretty much as expected. Snow will continue to taper off this evening, with the exception being St. Clair and Sanilac counties.

Some Metro Detroit counties are under a winter weather advisory Monday with snow, rain, ice possible.

The Wind Chill Advisory has been canceled for Lenawee, Monroe, Washtenaw and Wayne counties this morning, but continues for Genesee, Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Sanilac and St. Clair counties until 9 a.m.

An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties from noon Wednesday to 8 a.m. Thursday. A Heat Advisory is in effect for Genesee, Lapeer, Sanilac, and St. Clair counties from noon Wednesday to 8 a.m. Thursday.

It becomes cloudier and warm Tuesday (June 14) and remains warmer than average tonight. Dangerously hotter, more humid air arrives tomorrow. Much higher temperatures with excessive heat and humidity will be here. People staying cool and healthy is imperative. After a cold front brings storms before the end of Thursday, it will be sunnier, warm, and comfortable for Friday and Father’s Day weekend, including Juneteenth.

Snow continues to fall in Metro Detroit through Monday afternoon, but for the most part, it should be tapering down by the evening.

Temperatures tonight will initially drop into the mid 20s (-4 degrees Celsius), and then rise to around 30 degrees (-1 degrees Celsius) by dawn Wednesday. METRO DETROIT – Strong winds Sunday brought down trees and caused mass power outages across Metro Detroit. The outages are spread across Metro Detroit with a large number near West Bloomfield. Ryan Stow, with DTE, said there have been about 1,000 downed power lines across Metro Detroit. DTE crews are assessing damage, and making repairs and restoring power, in areas where it is safe to do so.

DETROIT – A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties until 12 p.m. Saturday. It’s MLK weekend, so winter storm 2020 will allow for quiet, calm reflection of the occasion’s meaning indoors. Winter Storm 2020 will unleash its heaviest snow Saturday morning, and it will be combined with pounding surf. The warm sector of winter storm 2020 arrives Saturday afternoon. Afternoon highs will be in the low and mid 20s with wind chills in the single digits and teens.

DETROIT – When the snow is done falling Saturday, Metro Detroit is expected to be blanketed in 5-8 inches. Keep up with the latest forecast here. MICHIGAN – The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Sanilac, Genesee, Lapeer and St. Clair counties that will remain in effect until 10 a.m. Sunday. By dawn, Veterans Day, Monday, many areas will have a half inch to an inch of snow on the ground. DETROIT A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Metro Detroit with 3-5 inches of snow expected by Monday night. Snow will overspread the region early Monday morning and persist through much of the afternoon. Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 20s and low 30s in the morning before gradually dropping during the afternoon. The National Weather Service has also issued a winter storm watch for Sanilac and St. Clair counties until 7 a.m. Tuesday. Around 4 to 9 inches of snow is possible in both counties with a foot or more along the Lake Huron shoreline where snow could accumulate to several inches an hour.
