One of them was struck by another vehicle on I-96 while trying to flee the scene of the crash on foot. Witnesses said there was chaos in front of the teen’s home at 1 a.m. on Friday. The boyfriend is accused of viciously beating the teen’s mother. Police said the teen grabbed a gun and fired multiple times, killing the 38-year-old. Police said he has been released to the custody of his mother pending the results of the investigation.

DETROIT – Michigan State Police are investigating a fatal single car crash that killed a 22-year-old man in Detroit on Saturday. Police say around 4 p.m. the Detroit man was traveling westbound at a high speed on the I-96 local lanes exit to Grand River Avenue and Schaefer Highway when he lost control of the vehicle. The man hit the wall at the base of the ramp and then rolled down the freeway, officials said. According to police the man was ejected from the vehicle. Officials say excessive speed and failure to wear a seatbelt are factors in the single car crash.

DETROIT – A 28-year-old man was shot while allegedly walking in Detroit on Saturday afternoon. The victim was allegedly walking around 4 p.m. in the area of Miami and Edsel streets when a Burgundy Buick Enclave pulled up to him and a man exited the passenger side of the vehicle. Police say the man argued with the victim over a cellphone and then allegedly shot the victim multiple times. The victim was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. The shooter is described as a black man with a dark complexion wearing a black t-shirt, black jeans and is armed.

DETROIT – Detroit police are looking for three men after a man was robbed while walking Friday on the city’s west side. Two men got out, and one of the men fired shots in the air before the pair announced a robbery. He was last seen wearing a red bandanna on his forehead, a white T-shirt with a teddy bear on it and black pants. The second man, who fired the shots, is black with a beard and has his hair in a high-top fade. DEARBORN, Mich. – A 12-year-old boy suffered critical injuries during a crash Friday morning on eastbound I-94 in Dearborn. Two lanes on eastbound I-94 have been blocked for hours near Schaefer Highway. Police said the Chrysler crashed into the truck when the truck was getting up to speed when entering eastbound I-94 from Schaefer Highway. The female driver of the Chrysler suffered serious injuries to her legs, police said. The truck driver was not hurt.
