Dion Bridges was shot at a home on July 4, 2019, on Schoenherr Street near East Seven Road. Family members said Bridges was at a barbecue when someone started shooting from a nearby alley. Bridges’ mother Jerreece Bridges is asking anyone with information to come forward. The person out there who knows they did this, I don’t know how they can live with themselves,” Jerreece Bridges said.

The vaccination site is at the Sterling Heights Senior Center on Utica Road, between Schoenherr and Van Dyke roads. It’s why the Macomb County Health Department partnered with SMART to help distribute the coronavirus vaccine. Macomb County executive Mark Hackel said the new site is currently dedicated to vaccinating Macomb County residents and workers who are 60-years-old and older. John Baldwin, of Detroit, was charged on Nov. 28 in connection with the homicide of Sarita Rebekah Neal, 41, also from Detroit. John E. Baldwin (Detroit Police Department)On the morning of Nov. 13, Detroit police found Neal’s body in an alley in the area of Schoenherr and Lappin streets. Officials said the woman was transported to a medical examiner, who determined Neal died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Officials say Baldwin allegedly fatally shot the victim, transported her remains to the Detroit alley in a car and later set that car on fire at another location.

Detroit police say at about 12:40 a.m. officers responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the area of Schoenherr and Pfent streets. Upon arriving, officers discovered several shell casings in front of the home and on the front porch of the home in question. Officials say that during their investigation, police received another call about a 22-year-old man who was dropped off at a hospital and died soon after. Police are investigating whether or not the barricaded situation is connected to the 22-year-old man who was dropped off at the hospital around the same time.

The driver in the other vehicle was a 20-year-old woman. She is expected to be OK.
