DETROIT – Many Metro Detroit businesses had to come up with a new way to sell when the first stay-at-home orders were issued in March. Jessica Hall, a teacher turned business owner, runs Urban Crown from the basement of her home. She uses Facebook live streams to help sell items. Like many small businesses, Hall and Gaskins had to reinvent themselves when COVID hit. One Metro Detroit store decided to put safety first and the response from customers has been more than they ever imagined.

Season 4 of this original true-crime podcast series will be hosted by veteran WDIV-Local 4 journalist Steve Garagiola. “Once you start looking into Hoffa, you find yourself down a rabbit hole of dark tunnels. He lived most of his life in Detroit and was last seen 20 miles north of the city. Interest in what happened to Hoffa has never waned, and the mystery only deepens as the decades pass.

Rick says the reason he’s been languishing in prison for so long has a lot to do with one man, Gil Hill. A new series on the Oakland County Child Killer case is coming to Local 4 this month. The project, part of Local 4's "Shattered" series, will take a deep dive into the unsolved case, while exploring new angles and leads as investigators continue to search for an answer more than 40 years later. This article is related to WDIV's Shattered Podcast, Season 2, which tells the story of "White Boy" Rick Wershe Jr's life from a drug informant to being granted parole. Wershe Jr. had to find a way to gain the trust of one of Detroit's most powerful families. At the top of their organization was Big Man Leo Curry and his twin brother, Little Man Johnny Curry. When he was 14 years-old, Rick Wershe, Jr. became one of the youngest FBI informants in American history.
