A 3-year reconstruction project on M-14 and I-96 began this weekend with road closures between Sheldon and Newburgh roads in Wayne County.

M-14 at Beck Road in Plymouth Township is closed as crews work on fixing three electrical poles that snapped during Monday night’s storm.

According to police, Dominic Duhn, of Northville Township, was struck and killed at about 11:37 p.m. on Sept. 3 while skateboarding on Sheldon Road, south of Six Mile Road. Witnesses described the vehicle traveling from Six Mile Road south on Sheldon Road before the crash, police said. The vehicle was described as a white or silver sedan last seen traveling south on Sheldon Road toward Five Mile Road. The Northville Township Police Department with the assistance of accident investigators from the Michigan State Police have an ongoing investigation.
