Police are investigating after an Eastpointe man was found dead Wednesday afternoon.

RIVER ROUGE, Mich. – Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest in the shooting death of Christopher Triplett. Triplett was found shot to death on July 12, 2020. He was found behind the wheel of a brown or gold 2020 Chevy Malibu. The vehicle was parked on Beechwood Street in River Rouge. More: Crime news

DETROIT – Detroit police are investigating a shooting Monday on the city’s east side resulting in the death of a 42-year-old woman. The shooting happened on Longview Street between Outer Drive and Harper Avenue. Police said the woman was taken to a hospital, where she later died. Police recovered a weapon at the scene but there are no suspects in custody.

A huge number of family members, loved ones and classmates came out in droves, packed Veterans Memorial Park to honor the young woman. EASTPOINTE, Mich. – A Roseville High School senior was shot and killed Wednesday with her 6-week-old daughter nearby. According to authorities, 17-year-old Kira Seymour was visiting her boyfriend in Eastpointe when she was shot in the chest. Police said several guns have been confiscated and that they sent information to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office. The Prosecutor’s Office will determine what charges he will face. Roseville High School will have counselors on staff to help students who may have been impacted.

EASTPOINTE, Mich. – A 17-year-old mother was found shot to death inside an Eastpointe home Wednesday. The shooting happened on Rein Avenue, north of Nine Mile Road. Police said the mother was visiting her boyfriend when shots were fired. Police are investigating the circumstance of the shooting, but one person of interest is in custody.
