The vehicle was described as a white or silver sedan last seen traveling south on Sheldon Road toward Five Mile Road. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said. He was banged up, but is stable, police said. Authorities said the driver who struck the boy stopped at the scene and called 911.
