We are compiling a list of snow emergencies here for Monday, Feb. 15 through Tuesday, Feb. 16. Some areas of Metro Detroit are expected to receive an additional 8 inches of snow by Tuesday morning -- view the full forecast here. Bookmark these pages:Communities will issue snow emergencies to alert drivers that vehicles should be moved from city streets to make way for snow plow trucks. Here is the list of snow emergencies:Wayne County:Garden City -- in effect 8 a.m. Wednesday until further notice -- “For the safety of your vehicles and for snow removal purposes, vehicle parking is prohibited on City streets during a snow emergency. Vehicles may not be put back in the street until the snow emergency has been cancelled,” reads a statement from the city. Southgate -- in effect from 8 a.m. Wednesday until 4 p.m. ThursdayMacomb County:Fraser -- in effect 6 p.m. Tuesday until further notice -- the city is asking residents not to park vehicles on any city street after 8 p.m. so city plows can clear all surface streets.

Keep up with the latest forecast here. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued St. Clair, Lapeer, Genesee and Sanilac counties. Because of the forecast, many communities have issued snow emergencies requiring residents to remove their vehicles from the street. Check the snow emergencies here.

As per city ordinance, when a snow emergency is declared, parking is not permitted on city streets until the snow emergency has been lifted. Monday’s commute was messy all day, leading to numerous crashes on Metro Detroit roads. Many cities have declared snow emergencies as crews work to clear the roads.
