UPDATE -- 3:40 p.m.: All southbound lanes on I-75 are now open after Seven Mile Road. UPDATE -- 3:11 p.m.: Only the right lane on southbound I-75 after Seven Mile Road remains closed Thursday afternoon. UPDATE -- 2 p.m.: Southbound I-75 was open Thursday afternoon along this stretch, however traffic was backed up. Southbound I-75 lanes between Seven Mile and E. McNichols roads will be closed through Thursday morning due to bridge repairs.

By early October, two lanes of northbound I-75 are expected to be open via the left and center lanes throughout the limits of segment two. Access to northbound I-75 entrance and exit ramps will be maintained once the lanes are shifted. Both directions of I-75 will have two lanes open between 8 Mile and Adams roads until late November. Southbound I-75 traffic has been sharing the northbound side of the freeway between Adams and 13 Mile roads due to road and bridge reconstruction. Beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, one lane will be closed on southbound I-75 between Adams and 13 Mile roads to prepare for the switch. Officials say that southbound I-75 traffic will be utilizing the newly constructed southbound lanes by 5 a.m. on Friday. Officials say there will be two lanes open for both directions on I-75 between 8 Mile and Adams roads during Labor Day weekend.
