DETROIT – Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a Friday night home invasion on Detroit’s west side. According to authorities, at about 9 p.m., a man used a back window to force his way into a home on Ohio Street, between Stawell and Westfield avenues. DETROIT – A Detroit family continues its search for answers after a 63-year-old man was shot and killed last year. Averil May was shot to death in front of his home on Stawell Avenue near Joy Road and Wyoming Avenue. On Monday, his family made a plea for anyone with information to come forward. So, if you have any tips on his murder or anything, just come speak up,” said his grandson Bryce May. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,500 cash reward for information leading to an arrest.

DETROIT – A man was fatally shot in a vehicle at about midnight Sunday on Detroit’s west side. According to authorities, a 63-year-old man was found shot sitting in the driver’s seat of a black Oldsmobile Aurora after gunshots were heard. Police said it happened near the intersection of Stawell Avenue and Ohio Street, just east of Oakman Boulevard. Emergency medical crews pronounced the man dead at the scene.
