No threats were found after an alarm sparked precautionary lockdowns Tuesday at four schools within the Rochester Community School District.

Elisa Volcic was killed walking home from Stoney Creek High School when she was hit by a car. The driver was another student. It happened near Tienken Road and Clear Creek Drive.

ROCHESTER, Mich. More than a thousand people gathered Saturday to break a Guinness World Record while helping comfort hospitalized children. Those 1,316 people made 2,016 blankets, breaking the record for the most no-sew fleece blankets made at one event, during Fleece & Thank You's Make a Blanket Day at Stoney Creek High School in Rochester. A world record was broken during Fleece & Thank You's Make a Blanket Day on Sept. 21, 2019 in Rochester. ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - Members of a special needs adult group are getting special honors Friday from the Stoney Creek High School varsity football team. The team partnered with the group at Dutton Farm this year. Players have spent hours getting to know students at Dutton. Students from Dutton will join the team on the field for an honor walk. "Community is community, and you take care of everybody," Stoney Creek principal Cathryne Skedel said.
