Here is the weather forecast for Metro Detroit.

We are mostly cloudy and mostly dry as we get going on this early Monday morning and Storm Tracker 4 is tracking a wintry mix and mostly snow south and west, moving our way.

We will start the morning drive on the dry side but it’s a matter of time before the moisture makes its way to Metro Detroit. Temperatures are in the lower 30s with wind chills in the mid to upper 20s.

Here’s what you missed on Local 4 News at 4:Ben Bailey is tracking rain as it moves toward Metro Detroit“Storm Tracker 4 is monitoring rain across Indiana and central Ohio. Eventually, it will spiral into southern Michigan by midnight. This should give us widely scattered showers through mid-afternoon Wednesday. It won’t amount to much and we’ll spend more time dry than wet. Winds will gust over 35 mph by afternoon.” -- Ben Bailey

DETROIT – Temperatures have taken a step down for the short term, but we’ll make up for it by the weekend. Temporary cool-downEven though we didn’t reach the 50s on Thursday afternoon, sunshine still got us above normal. The drops will be gone before noon, leaving the second half of the day dry. There will be a system approaching us Sunday, but most of the rain from that should hold off until closer to sunset. But we should be dry with a decent amount of sunshine until rain returns Thursday.

Scattered snow flurries and light snow showers are appearing on Storm Tracker 4 just before dinner on Saturday. Scattered flurries and light snow showers develop mainly north of Eight Mile Road. It gives us a chance of scattered snow showers during the day Sunday. Neighborhoods north of Eight Mile Road, particularly those in Livingston County, have a better chance of receiving over an inch of snow. In Detroit and south of Eight Mile Road, some rain may mix with snow and a trace to one inch of snow is possible.

Highs will recover to the 50s on Saturday and stay that way through most of next week. DETROIT After making an appearance Wednesday, roost rings have cropped up again on the Metro Detroit radar Saturday morning.
