He was arraigned Tuesday and was charged with failure to stop at scene of an accident resulting in death. Her family knows the arraignment won’t bring her back, but they’re hoping it’s a step in the right direction for the grieving family. It’s believed that over the weekend, Alkewich ran a light and struck Strother, who was crossing the street, and then kept on driving. The court is going to assess a $2 million bond,” said Judge Elisabeth Mullins.

The shooting happened after 3 p.m. on Thursday on Superior Street just north of 696. Police said when they arrived on scene they found a 45-year-old man who had been shot multiple times in his face.
