The new program, the โTalk it Outโ program, gives a voice back to the victims and allows them to impact the lives of the juveniles who victimized them. โCertainly we donโt want our juvenile offenders to transfer into the adult criminality and into the justice system,โ Worthy said. Worthyโs idea behind the โTalk it Outโ program is that itโs a juvenile mediation program that would be an alternative to formal charges. The Wayne County Dispute Resolution Center is looking for volunteer mediators to participate in the program.
