First, Tati wanted to know everyone’s take on what’s better: sweet or salty snacks? While only Blaine said he really loves sweet snacks, everyone agreed that salty snacks like chips and popcorn are the way to go. AJ recommended pork rinds, which she said she switched to since it’s a great crunchy, salty snack, and it is full of protein but doesn’t have the carbs that chips have.

Tati got the chance to chat with the leader of the group, Franklin Lance McGee, about what kind of music they’ve been working on during the pandemic. He says that the album takes the group in a new direction, trying out styles that are closer to the roots of gospel quartet music. McGee said that the break allowed them to blend all of the group members’ ideas together for their latest album. For their Music Monday performance, the group performed a Christmas song blend that McGee said has a “churchy” feel to it.

Now, he’s found a way to design the space without making it look like an afterthought. The main feature of Jordan’s project uses curio frames he says you can find in home decorating stores, or for cheap in thrift stores. After an hour, Tati and Jason checked back in to see the finished project. To change up the look of the space, Jordan said you can throw a few plants into the frames, which also serve as handy shelves.

Copeland joined the Boys & Girls Clubs at 11. “It has given me an understanding of what it means to be a leader” Copeland said. Josias Reynoso was chosen from more than 4 million club members to become the Boys & Girls Clubs Youth of the Year. He says the Boys & Girls Clubs developed him into a leader rather than a follower, and he hopes to be able to help other kids find their potential.

The business is family owned, and sister of the owner Cecilia Benedict spoke with Live in the D live from Mexicantown. Benedict said that food is an important part of Mexican and other Hispanic cultures because it brings communities together in everything from celebration to mourning. Customers don’t have to go far for their drinks either since Mexicantown Bakery also serves a variety of Hispanic coffee and espresso beverages. Tati personally recommended the tres leches cake and cuban coffee as her go-to orders from the bakery.
