DeRosa, a first-year student from Royal Oak, was found dead by a runner Dec. 12 near sports fields on the Allendale campus. Grand Valley spokeswoman Mary Eilleen Lyon said an investigation showed DeRosa had attended several social gatherings. Grand Valley State is in western Michigan, near Grand Rapids.
