Three Pontiac residents have been charged in connection with the torture and murder of a homeless man, officials said.

PONTIAC, Mich. – A Pontiac man and woman were pronounced dead at an area hospital after being found in a vehicle submerged in Terry Lake. A witness called police on Tuesday night to report that a vehicle was submerged in the lake. Dive team members found the vehicle in approximately 25 feet of water at the bottom of Terry Lake. The victims have been identified as Robert Grandberry, 69, and Cathy Grandberry, 67. Police said there is indication that Robert Grandberry had a medical issue before the vehicle went into the lake.

PONTIAC, Mich. – Police are investigating a vehicle submerged Tuesday night in Terry Lake in Pontiac. Family members at the scene said the driver may have had a medical condition that caused the vehicle to crash into the lake. “Upon arrival, the vehicle was already fully submerged.
