We are already in the first week of August, July has come and gone, so does that mean summer is coming to an end? That’s what we talked about today on What’s the Buzz. Are you still living in your summer shorts, or are you ready for sweater weather?

It looks like the snow might be gone for good, which means it’s time to start thinking about spring cleaning. Often the biggest question about spring cleaning is where to start. For Crocker, cleaning out the closet is the best place to start, since clearing out space means she’ll get to revamp her wardrobe for the season. Cleaning out space in the spring also means making room for new tech. Hall said that for him the change in season means a new bike and new stuff for the car.

First, Mimi talked about her inspiration, Maya Angelou. “I always think about her when I think about powerful women in history.”Next, everyone talked about their favorite women in film. Jason and Mimi both talked about Cicely Tyson, who stayed true to herself by only taking roles in films that highlighted African American women. AdFinally, Tati asked about the women in the music industry that inspire everyone. Mimi picked Aretha Franklin, an icon who’s music transcends audiences, and who has performed at multiple presidential inaugurations.

How did you sleep? We’ve all been asked at some point in our lives. It’s one of the most important things we can do every day, but sometimes sleeping isn’t that easy. The group answered questions about snoring, the comfort level of your pillow versus your mattress, and if you can sleep in the cold or heat. They also shared their tricks on what they do to fall asleep.

That time of year has officially come: Tomorrow is the first day of fall! We have all been feeling it for a while, with the cooler weather we have been experiencing as of late, including our friends of the show. Comedian Melanie Hearn, Jason Hall of RiDetroit, and Lauren Crocker of The Blaine Fowler Morning Show on 96.3 WDVD, joined Jason Carr to break down the upcoming season and take their stance on the ultimate fall debates: Should the season be called fall or autumn? Labor Day weekend is upon us, the unofficial end of summer. Its also the last weekend for a getaway for many families. That was the topic for this weeks Whats The Buzz! Host Jason Carr was joined by local comedian Melanie Hearn, Blaine Fowler, the host of The Blaine Fowler Morning Show on 96.3 WDVD, and Jason Hall with RiDetroit and a new podcast called City Talks. Working home from home has its unique challenges and that is something Blaine Fowler, host of The Blaine Fowler Morning Show" on 96.3 WDVD, can personally attest to. He and his co-host Lauren Crocker have been putting out a live show every morning from their respective homes. Blaine told Tati Amare and Jason Carr all about the challenges he has been facing while giving a glimpse of his at-home studio. He also shared what it is like having his family members become his new co-workers and gave us look at the family thats moved into his backyard.
