DETROIT – Local 4 alum-turned-radio host Kim Adams fell victim to an FM radio switchover in the middle of her show. Adams was hosting her mid-day show on 98.7 The Breeze when her phone rang Thursday. It was her boss telling her that the station was immediately changing formats and, in turn, ending her on-air job. Adams has had stints on television, films and loved her radio job, but her most important work has been as a single mother of five.

This year 98.7 The Breeze, a radio station known for easy listening, is airing special holiday programming around the clock. “It’s what we all need right now, a little comfort and a little joy,” says Kim Adams, the midday host. There’s no politics on her show, and it’s all positive news -- something she says many are seeking right about now. Kim says that if you’re not ready for Christmas music yet, that’s okay, they just hope that when you are ready you’ll go to 98.7 The Breeze. DETROIT Fresh off the heels of Halloween, one Metro Detroit radio station is diving into the holiday season. 98.7 The Breeze will begin playing Christmas music Friday, November 1, at 6 a.m.Thats only 6 hours removed from All Hallows Eve and leaves 55 days between now and Christmas. The radio station says it will be playing holiday hits until Christmas day. I, for one, am all about it as long as its only good Christmas music.
