Titus Jermain Cromer Jr., 16, had been at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak after suffering an injury in October 2019. The family filed a federal lawsuit against the hospital to keep Cromer on life support. In late December 2019, a judge authorized an agreement to allow Cromer Jr. to receive a procedure and transfer to a rehab facility. Reyes’ family fought to keep him on life support at Mott’s Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, but the life support was eventually removed after a legal battle.

Rasor filed a temporary restraining order in court late last month to keep the teen on life support. Judge Hala Jarbou of Oakland County Circuit Court granted the temporary restraining order, which prevented the hospital from taking Cromer off of life support. Rasor was expected to be taken off life support Tuesday, but a temporary restraining order was granted preventing it from happening. The restraining order ensures Beaumont cannot take any action to withdraw life support from Cromer.
