Between 3-5 inches of snow is expected to accumulate in Midland, Bay, Huron, Saginaw, Tuscola, Sanilac, Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer and St. Clair counties between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday. READ: Metro Detroit weather: Forecasting snowfall amounts, timing for upcoming winter stormThe snow is expected to move in north of the Interstate 69 corridor after 4 a.m. and reach the Tri-Cities and Northern Thumb by 7 a.m. Snow is expected to move north of the Ohio border after 4 a.m. and sweep northward during the morning. Heavier snow is expected in Metro Detroit between 6-9 a.m. before transitioning to freezing drizzle after 9 a.m. into the afternoon.
