Livingston, Lapeer and eight other counties in Lower Michigan will be under a winter storm watch starting Friday morning.

Those of us closer to Downtown Detroit including most of Metro Detroit are seeing some rain and snow battling back and forth with temperatures in the low to middle 30s. Snow totals are greatly minimized by this mix of moisture becoming mostly just snow after 8 a.m.

Three southeastern Michigan counties are under a winter weather advisory on Wednesday, Nov. 16, due to potential snow accumulation.

DETROIT – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for 11 counties -- Genesse, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Sanilac, St. Clair, Washtenaw, and Wayne -- until 4 p.m. Tuesday. Between 3-5 inches of snow is expected to accumulate in Midland, Bay, Huron, Saginaw, Tuscola, Sanilac, Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer and St. Clair counties between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday. Heavier snow is expected in Metro Detroit between 6-9 a.m. before transitioning to freezing drizzle after 9 a.m. into the afternoon.
