According to report from WPBN, police received a complaint that a man, later identified as 42-year-old Kip Miller, was driving erratically in Emmet County and may have intentionally swerved into another vehicle. Investigators said four children were in the vehicle with Miller, who claimed that they were living out of his vehicle. A chase ensued through Emmet County into Antrim County. Miller is expected to face additional charges in Emmet County.

"Youโre going to see lane shifts and lane reductions," Jocelyn Hall, the Bay Region Communication Representative with MDOT to NBC 25. In anticipation of the project, the Chip Road bridge and Mackinaw Road bridge are already closed. Part of these bridges, as well as the Wilder Road bridge, will be completely redone during the construction. "Itโs best to just go ahead and remove that pavement and lay a new deck and it will greatly improve the driving surface and be a driving surface that will be in service for years to come.
