Police said the 49-year-old woman from Romulus was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead after three vehicles collided near the intersection of Van Born and Henry Ruff roads. Alex Forsythe said he was sitting at a red light when he witnessed the crash. Abulawi said he and several drivers ran to pull the woman out and laid her down on the ground away from the fire. Police said the driver of the sports car -- a white Chevy Camero -- sustained minor injures and is facing possible charges.

Police said shots were fired at a home on Van Born Road, a few blocks west of Inkster Road. Westland police and Michigan State Police are on scene. The boyfriend was outside of the home and that’s when police said he kicked in the door to get inside the house and was shot at and killed.

She went to the back of the store and placed two containers of Tide Pods, worth a total of $80.56, inside a black purse, according to authorities. She left the store and the manager called the Dearborn Heights Police Department, officials said. Anyone who recognizes the woman is asked to call Dearborn Heights police at 313-277-7716.
