Five special events are slated to take place in downtown Tree Town resulting in several road closures over the course of the next seven days.

Several roads in downtown Tree Town will be closed this weekend in order to make way for two spooky events.

Police have identified an 18-year-old person of interest linked to a Macomb County bank robbery.

A Monroe business received a bomb threat, had a rock thrown through its window and was ultimately firebombed over the course of eight days, police said.

Starting May 5, several roads will be closed downtown so that diners and shoppers can stroll the streets.

Construction in lanes, alleys and sidewalks will start Monday as part of an infrastructure improvement project by the City of Ann Arbor Information Technology department.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Starting Thursday, several streets in downtown Ann Arbor will close to cars allowing for more outdoor dining and shopping during the spring and summer. The Downtown Ann Arbor Pedestrian Mall will provide additional space facilitating safer physical distancing practices as community members visit businesses and restaurants. The closures will run from Thursday, April 1 to August 30. This year, some streets will be closed every day of the week while other closures will only take place from 4 p.m. on Thursdays to 6 a.m. on Mondays. ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Drivers in downtown Ann Arbor will have to find alternative routes as scheduled road work around North and South Ashley streets will close several streets over the next few months. Ashley Street from Liberty to Huron: March 8 to May 31On Monday, South Ashley Street was reduced to one lane from just south of Liberty Street to Huron Street. Ashley Street at Washington Street: March 8 to March 20Both Ashley and Washington streets leading up to the Ashley and Washington intersection are closed, according to the city. Westbound traffic will travel south on First Street, west on North Street and then south on First Street. The closures were originally set to end on Nov. 1. Southbound South Maple Road traffic will be detoured to eastbound West Liberty Street, then southbound West Stadium Boulevard, then westbound Pauline Boulevard, back to South Maple Road.

OXFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a holdup that happened Friday afternoon at Oxford Bank at 60 south Washington Street in Oxford, Michigan.
