According to authorities, just before 10 a.m. Jan. 13, Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to D’Anton’s Coney Island, located on West Huron Street, between Telegraph Road and Woodward Avenue, on reports of a dead body. According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan Maurice Wilson AKA: Anthony Randolph Wilson, was connected with the shooting. He was taken into police custody on unrelated warrants and remains at the Oakland County Jail.

Deputies said the Waterford Township man was found at about 9:47 a.m. Wednesday at the D’Antons Coney Island on West Huron Street. The victim’s friend and sister were unable to locate him and searched the area, finding him in a vehicle. Officials said when first responders arrived on the scene, they observed a gunshot wound. Deputies said the suspect is unknown.

Starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, Miller Avenue between North Ashley and First streets will be closed to traffic. Eastbound traffic heading into the downtown area will be detoured south on North Seventh Street, then east on West Huron Street and north on Main Street to Miller Avenue. Commuters heading out of downtown or passing through via Miller Avenue will be rerouted down Main Street, west on West Huron Street and then north on North Seventh Street.
