They terminated the pursuit at the border of Royal Oak, near 11 Mile and John R roads. Royal Oak officers saw the car, which had no license plate, heading west on 11 Mile Road near Stephenson Highway, according to authorities. Officers called Royal Oak firefighters, who used the jaws of life to free the man from the wreckage. Deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and Royal Oak officials are investigating the crash.

Police said deputies and the Royal Oak Fire Department administered aid to the man and he was rushed to the Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. The Milford Fire Department says at about 12:12 p.m. the individual was injured by a wood chipper machine in the area of Milford and Rowe roads. Authorities say the injured individual was immediately assisted by co-workers who then called 9-1-1. Medics arrived and tended to the individual, who was then air lifted to William Beaumont Hospital due to the nature of their injuries, officials said. The condition of the injured individual has not been shared.

"We believe patients were treated appropriately and disagree with the allegations of improper oversight of Dr. Awaad by Oakwood Healthcare." According to testimony, another doctor reported the irregularities to hospital officials and her concerns were disregarded.
