A 14-page report reveals the district paid a law firm to tell them what many parents felt was obvious, that the policy needed to be changed. Following a packed special meeting of the Wyandotte School Board it was determined that changes were needed to prevent another convicted felon from ever volunteering in the district. In 2016, the report shows Beebe "advised Ms. Wilson (principal) he had a felony that was approximately 20 years old." The report shows a total of 15 people were interviewed.

Vicki Wilson, the principal at James Monroe Elementary School, told parents none of Beebe's alleged crimes happened on school property.
