A man has been barricaded inside an Ypsilanti Township apartment for 12 hours after he fired shots at his girlfriend because she was moving out, officials said.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, sheriff’s office deputies responded to a reported shooting on the 1700 block of Smith Street.

A 43-year-old man was shot early Thursday morning in Ypsilanti Township, and police took another man into custody, officials said.

A 17-year-old is in critical condition after a shooting in Ypsilanti, authorities said.

A 21-year-old Detroit man was killed overnight in an Ypsilanti shooting, officials said.
