During its winter term, Rec & Ed is offering a range of virtual fitness and enrichment classes so that community members can remain active and social while at home. It is a key ingredient to ensuring a person’s longevity,” said Rec & Ed fitness and yoga program supervisor Terry McNeely in a release. Community members can sign up for weight training, cardio dance and pilates, Zumba, cardio drumming and belly dance classes. Therapeutic yoga, chair yoga, yoga flow and Iyengar Yoga classes will also be offered in the mini-term format. Mini-term classes only meet for two to four weeks, a significantly shorter weekly time commitment than Rec & Ed’s other classes.
