Detroit police are investigating a bomb threat at the 36th District Court building.

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office has charged a 15-year-old high school student for threatening to blow up Fraser High School.

Authorities say a man who wanted to join the protests in Canada's capital over mask mandates called in a bomb threat but called the wrong Ottawa.

HARBOR SPRINGS, Mich. – Harbor Springs police received a bomb threat in the area of Main and State streets in Downtown Harbor Springs. The Harbor Springs Police Department, Michigan State Police and the Emmet County Sheriff’s Department are actively investigating the threat. Harbor Springs schools were locked down until 4:15 p.m., which is when students were released. The public is asked to avoid the Downtown Harbor Springs area. LANSING, Mich. – A Michigan man is facing multiple felony charges after police said he threatened to kill a state representative and also made a false bomb threat. Michael Varrone, 48, of Charlotte, was arrested on Thursday after he reported that there was a bomb at the Michigan Capitol Building on Thursday, according to officials. Dana NesselVarrone was arraigned Friday before Magistrate Laura Millmore in 54-A District Court in Lansing on two counts of false report or threat of terrorism. He also faces one count of false report or threat of bomb/harmful device. One count of the false report or threat of terrorism is connected to the phone call he is accused of making on Dec. 12.

DETROIT – Police investigated a bomb threat Friday near the TCF Center in Downtown Detroit. According to the Detroit Police Department, nothing has been found to verify the threat. Police received a call at about 5 p.m. on Friday from Michigan State Police saying that a woman claimed that a bomb had been left in the area. That same day, Grand Blanc Police Department detectives, officers, and U.S. Secret Service agents executed a state search warrant at Coxs home in Grand Blanc and arrested him.
