Vehicles are often retired once they’ve reached 200,000 miles. However, a new study has identified several vehicles that can actually travel much further.

The fastest-selling new vehicle in the Detroit market in July 2021 was the Cadillac Escalade.

The cost of used cars may be on the rise in Metro Detroit, but those vehicles are still selling quickly.

With companies facing shortages of microchips and parts, new cars are being produced at slower rates than normal. So it’s no surprise that the price of used cars are going up amid the demand.

Used car prices are up 20.8% in the Detroit market over the past year. Nationally, used car prices have increased 16.8%, or $3,926, over the past 12 months, compared to most years when they remain constant.

According to ISeeCars, the average new car in Detroit took 46.5 days to sell in February 2021, while the average used car took 49.1 days to sell. To determine the fastest-selling cars in Detroit, iSeeCars said it analyzed 1.2 million new and used car sales in February 2021.
