Rotondo allegedly forged her daughters signature on an application for an absent voter application and mailed the application to the Plymouth Township clerk. Michiganders should know that absentee ballot applications, which is the subject of this fraud investigation, are not just rubber-stamped and processed robotically. The law allows votes to be cast by absentee ballot and provide procedures to combat fraud in the use of this method of voting. A person who forges a signature on an absent voter ballot application is guilty of a felony.
