Shayqun Harvey, 26, was at Basketball City in the 16000 block of Eastland Street in Roseville around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 20), police said. He returned with a gun and was shot by a CPL holder who wasn’t involved in the argument, according to police. An individual left the building and then returned with a gun, firing shots at another person from the altercation. Police said a valid CPL holder intervened. ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A Warren teenager is facing multiple charges after allegedly firing a handgun on accident at a Roseville home Saturday night, shooting another teen in the head. Donovan Anthony Harbus, 19, was charged Tuesday with carrying a concealed weapon, a five-year felony, and careless discharge of a firearm causing injury, a misdemeanor charge. At about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the head during a small gathering in the 17000 block of Ivanhoe Street. Police say Harbus and another individual were showing each other their illegal handguns when Harbus unintentionally discharged the weapon, striking the victim in the head. The 17-year-old boy was transported to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

ROSEVILLE, Mich. A 2-year-old child has died while in the care of a babysitter following an unreported accident that occurred on Sunday, police say. Officials say the child, their siblings and their babysitter were involved in a traffic incident over the weekend somewhere in Warren. The childs cause of death is currently unknown at this time. ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A 35-year-old Roseville man was shot at Leslies Mobile Home Community around 9:25 p.m. Friday, police say. According to police, the victim was shot by a 26-year-old Roseville man after an ongoing dispute. Police say the victim was shot once in the upper body. The Roseville Criminal Investigations Division learned the identity of the shooter and started searching for him. The shooter is being held at the Roseville Police Department pending further investigation.

Robert Bruce Holman, 74, was last seen around 7 a.m. on Sunday at a Walgreens store on the corner of 10 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue, police said. Holman is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a blue and black jacket and olive green pants. The man also walks with a cane. ROSEVILLE, Mich. – Roseville police are seeking help to identify a larceny suspect who stole a package from a resident’s front porch on Tuesday. Police say the “porch pirate” was captured on camera (below) stealing a package in the 27000 block of Groveland Street around 5:35 p.m. The thief pulled up in front of the resident’s home in a small, dark colored sedan shortly after the resident’s package arrived, police say. The porch pirate is described as a man with a slim build and was wearing a red Adidas hooded sweatshirt and white jogging pants. ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A man was seen running off with an Amazon package that he took from the front porch of a Roseville home, police said. Officials said the man grabbed the package around 4:30 p.m. Saturday at a home in the 1700 block of Roseville Boulevard. ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A man, 30, was forced at gunpoint to give up his vehicle early Wednesday morning in Roseville. The victim agreed to pick up an acquaintance from the 35000 block of Jefferson Avenue and transport him to the block of Melvin and Tranquil streets in Roseville, officials said. After reaching the destination, the 34-year-old man pointed a handgun at the victim and forced him to exit the car, police said. Police say a one-car crash on eastbound I-94 near 13 Mile Road was reported several minutes after the victim’s vehicle was stolen. Michigan State Police utilized a K-9 unit but were not able to find the suspect, officials said.

CNNROSEVILLE, California (CNN) - A group of "junior detectives" in Roseville, California, saved the day by helping police locate a missing 97-year-old woman. The Roseville Police Department alerted the public on September 30 that Glenneta Belford, who has dementia and is mostly non-verbal, had gone missing. "Help us locate a missing person," the police department said on Facebook and over loud speakers throughout the community. "My friends Hope and Makenna were playing and they heard a helicopter saying a 97-year-old lady was missing," Logan told CNN. When asked why they decided to help, Logan, who now wants to be a detective when he grows up, replied: "Because when someone needs help, you help them."

A group of junior detectives are being honored by a California police department after helping find a missing elderly woman. The Roseville Police Department was searching for a 97-year-old woman late last month and numerous residents joined in to help the effort, including five kids. ROSEVILLE, Mich. - Former Roseville judge Catherine Steenland was found dead in her home Thursday, the Roseville Police Department announced. Police said the Macomb County Medical Examiner was contacted about the death. Steenland was retired from the 39th District Court. For the failure to report an accident charge, Steenland was sentenced to 90 days suspended upon completion of 90 days of probation. The sentences meant Steenland didn't have to serve any jail time unless she violated her probation.

ROSEVILLE, Mich. - Former Roseville judge Catherine Steenland was found dead in her home Thursday, the Roseville Police Department announced.
