DETROIT – Police said a woman was shot and killed in the middle of the street on Detroit’s west side. The shooting happened around 9:55 a.m. Tuesday (March 9) in the 9600 block of Braile Street at Orangelawn Street, which is near Rouge Park, according to authorities. Officials said when police arrived, the woman, who is about 26 years old, was still alive. She was rushed to the hospital, but pronounced dead when she arrived, according to police. At this time, nobody saw shots being fired, so these men would be considered persons of interest, Detroit police said.

DETROIT – Two women were killed Monday morning when their vehicle struck a utility pole at Joy Road and Trinity Street in Detroit. Police said the women were traveling in a 2005 Saab when the vehicle left the road and hit the pole. It’s unclear what caused this deadly crash. No other injuries have been reported. DETROIT – Three piglets were rescued from Detroit’s Rouge Park. UPDATE: Michigan Humane Society seeks home for pigletsAccording to the Michigan Humane Society, the pigs were abandoned at the west side park. Neighbors and MHS workers helped save the animals. The piglets will be placed into homes.

Police say there was no indication of a robbery and the victim was taken to a hospital where he is now in stable condition.

Police said the man got into a physical altercation around 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the basketball court near Rouge Park on Detroit's west side. He fired shots and struck two people: a 30-year-old woman who died from her injuries and a 28-year-old man who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities. DETROIT - An argument turned deadly in Detroit when a Saturday night basketball game erupted with gunfire. According to authorities, two men were arguing at a basketball game at Rouge Park, near the intersection of Spinoza and Brennan Pool drives. Police said both men produced guns and started shooting and then three more people joined in the gunfight. "It's way past uncalled for," said Curtis Davis, who was attending a family reunion at the park. Police said two bystanders, a 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman who weren't involved in the initial arguement, were shot.
